A 4-star, non-smoking guesthouse, Ellerthwaite Lodge has been given a makeover during 2007/2008 and now provides 16 relaxing and comfortably furnished en suite rooms.On the first floor there is an open lounge area furnished with Chesterfield sofas, Brinton carpet and original stained glass windows which provide panoramic views across Windermere to the fells beyond. A relaxing area, here you can sit with a book or newspaper and pass the time away, or catch up on the day’s events.

From the lounge, you can descend the original pitch pine wooden staircase to reception which features, again, luxury Briton carpet, hand-made wooden features, a grandfather clock and William Morris wallpaper.
